As a church, we will be keeping the Sabbath on December 29, 2024 which means there will be no
in-person service and we encourage you to spend this day resting, recharging, and reconnecting with God! In this modern world, saying NO to people, responsibilities, etc. and saying YES to God can be difficult but God commands us to accept His grace and remember to rest.

Here are some ideas on how you can spend your Sabbath:

  1. Read God’s Word. Need a recommendation? Check out Psalm 91.

  2. Do a family devotional.

  3. Turn off that alarm clock and sleep in!

  4. Disconnect from social media, TV, doom-scrolling, etc.

  5. Spend some time outside!

  6. Enjoy a great meal together with loved ones!

  7. Indulge in the hobbies you enjoy or try out a new one!

  8. Read a book. Like a real book!

  9. Have intentional family time. Play a game, toss the football, go to the park.

  10. Call a friend or relative.

  11. For today, say no to the “have to’s” and yes to the “get to’s.”
