Sabbath Sunday
As a church, we will be keeping the Sabbath on December 31, 2023 which means there will be no
in-person service and we encourage you to spend this day resting, recharging, and reconnecting with God! In this modern world, saying NO to people, responsibilities, etc. and saying YES to God can be difficult but God commands us to accept His grace and remember to rest.
Here are some ideas on how you can spend your Sabbath:
-
Turn off that alarm clock and sleep in!
-
Disconnect from social media, TV, doom-scrolling, etc.
-
Spend some time outside!
-
Make (or order) a great meal and enjoy it with loved ones!
-
Read God’s Word. Need a recommendation? Check out Psalm 91.
-
Indulge in the hobbies you enjoy or try out a new one!
-
Read a book. Like a real book!
-
Have intentional family time. Play a game, toss the football, go to the park.
-
Call a friend or relative.
-
For today, say no to the “have to’s” and yes to the “get to’s.”
